As the Treasure Hunt project proceeds at full speed, these months have been or will be full of important events that will mark a milestone and put into practice all the knowledge acquired, tools developed and practical activities:
- From 9 to 12 April, the project partners met in Sweden for a training session to test the training materials developed, make the necessary corrections and plan the next trainings with young entrepreneurs in the agrotourism sector that will take place across all partner countries (Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece) with practical workshops and interactive resources to provide new competences in the area of entrepreneurship. To get inspiration for business ideas, Treasure hunt project partners conducted study visits to Swedish agritourism entrepreneurs, with the idea of visiting 3 different types of activities to better understand the differences and different opportunities for development and adaptation: a small one, a large one and one with accommodation. It was a journey through an alpaca farm, a large ecological sheep farm and a cottage with innovative sustainable accommodation offers. We invite you to read the article dedicated to these study visits, where you can detailed fun facts and innovative and inspiring ideas.
- Then, from 21 to 23 May, Materahub will host the next training activity in Matera, Italy, with participants from all partner countries to put into practice the training course developed to enhance entrepreneurial skills and help entrepreneurs to open or upgrade their agritourism business in a sustainable and innovative way. The training activities will continue in Spain, Greece, Bulgaria fostering an exchange of participants between neighbouring countries and encouraging green travel and sustainable travel solutions.
- Meanwhile, the development of the English for agritourism self-study guide, an accessible online training tool focused on the study of the English language and the technical terms fundamental to the agritourism business, is progressing: interactive listening, speaking, reading, writing and vocabulary exercises will be available online. The Glossary with definitions of more than 560 technical terms, with translations into Italian, Greek, Bulgarian and Spanish, is already available online on Treasure Hunt website.
- Finally, we would like to remind you that the Social Learning Platform is accessible on the website: you have access to 6 modules full of educational content, case studies, best practices, videos and interactive assessment exercises at the end of which you will obtain the Treasure Hunt course completion certificate and have developed self-reflection and other personal development skills related to agritourism entrepreneurship in order to start a new business or improve an existing one.
